Every professional field has its own set of standards. Journalist have a code of objectivity, medical doctors have a vow to do no harm, teachers have a cold of educating their students according to specific guidelines, and many more. Although design is often viewed as it out fine there's an art form, there is a professional guidance that must be follow. The universal design standards allow for regulation, individuality, and professional expectations. These design principles are set to maximize use for the user and contain a wide variety of characteristics. The standards maximize access for the public and help to build the foundations for copyright laws in creative agency.

Created in 1997, architects at North Caroline State University inveted the 7 principles of universal design.

Standers are often called principles. There are seven. I have decided to find questions to answer each standard. If my design does not answer these questions positively, they do not meet the universal design standards.

  1. Equitable use
Is the Design Useful and marketable to everyone with no respect for abilities?
  2. Flexibility in use.
Does the design meet multi-purposeful uses necessary.?

3. Simple and intuitive use.
Is the design easy to understand regardless of the prior knowledge of the user?

4. Perceptible information.
Does the design communicate effectively? Could the message be received without an in-depth analysis of the design?

5. Tolerance for Error.
Is the design low risk without any room for accidents to happen?

6. Low physical effort
Can the design be used comfortably without wearing and tearing on the body?

7. Appropriate Size and Space for Approach and Use
Does it fit? If the design is meant for space, does it allow for healthy proportions of empty space in the design
